- 1 cup chopped green chilli
- 1 tap kalaunji
- 1 tap carom seeds
- 2 tbsp mustard oil
- 1 tap cumin seeds
- For litti :-
- 2 cup wheat flour
- 1 tap cumin seeds
- Pinch salt
- as needed Water
Instructions to make to make Litti chokha in pressure cooker(bihari style)
- For chokha:-
Make 2-3 cuts in the brinjal, roast it on direct flame,Peel it (don't wash it with water) put the roasted tomato and brinjal,Grated potato in a bowl.Mash it. Now add chilli, add garlic,Add Ginger, add onion, add coriander,Mix it well. Add salt, add coriander powder,Add red chilli powder, add lemon juice now add hot oil pour into the bharta. Now mix it again.chokha is ready. - For stuffing:-
In a mixing bowl add sattu,chopped onion,chopped green chilli,kalaunji,chopped ginger,chopped garlic,salt,red chilli powder, coriander powder,achar masala, mustard oil,cumin seeds,asafoitida,carom seeds mix it well.now stuffing is ready - For litti:-
In a bowl add wheat flour, add salt,add cumin seedsMix it well now add water little by little and mix.knead to form a stiff dough.cover and let the dough rest for 15-20 min.divide the dough into 5-6 equal parts. - The litti dough is ready to be baked. We'll create a small balls of the same size.The next step is to smooth out 1 ball.Press it with the thumb to create the shape of a cup.
- Sattu (chickpea powder) stuffing will be added,As we roll it over on our palm, we'll try to raise one corner and then shut it from the top.We can achieve a rounded shape by rotating our palms.Afterwards, we'll go through the same process with the remaining litti.
- After five minutes, use a spatula or your hands to rotate the litti and repeat the process until both sides are cooked.After about fifteen minutes have elapsed, we can now shake the cooker to spin the litti without manually turning it, and we plan to repeat this process 3 to 4 times at intervals of 5 minutes
