- 1/2 kg chicken
- For Marination:
- 200 gms curd
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tbsp red chilli powder
- 1 tbsp kitchen king masala

- 1 tbsp coriander powder
- For gravy :
- 2 onions finely chopped
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 2 tomato pureed
- 1 tbsp red chilli powder
- Pinch turmeric
- 1 tbsp garam masala
- As Per Taste salt
- 1 tbsp kitchen king masala
- For coconut paste:
- 2 tbsp Roast coconut finely sliced
- 4-5 pieces garlic
- 1 tbsp khus khus
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2-3 tbsp oil
- 1 small piece dalchini,4 or 5 cloves,4or 5 whole black pepper,
- Few Green chilli slits
- As required Coriander leaves for garnishing
Instructions to make to make Chicken Lapeta
- Wash chicken and apply lemon juice nicely. Keep it aside for at least 15 mins
- Prepare marination:
Whisk curd add all masalas, ginger garlic paste. - Now add chicken to it. Keep aside for at least 30 mins.
- For gravy:
Take a pan and add oil. Add all khada masalas..Now add onions finely chopped - Saute it well. Once translucent add ginger garlic paste. Fry it well. Now add all masalas along with tomato puree...
- Mix it well. Make a fine paste of coconut, khus khus and garlic and milk.
- Add this paste to the masala. Roast chicken in an open frying pan till it's at least half done and has golden colour.
- Now add roasted chicken in gravy. Mix well and add little water and simmer the gas for at least 15 mins or till masala has dried up and the chicken is soft.
- Add slits of green chilies and coriander leaves for garnishing.
- Serve hot with roti or naan
